V. Health Hazard Data
Exposure Limit(s) 2-butoxyethanol: ethylene glycol monobutyl ether CAS# 111-76-2 (15-22% by weight) 20 ppm ACGIH - TLV, 25 ppm OSHA - PEL
Napthalene: petroleum distillate CAS# 91-20-3 (<3% by weight) 10 ppm ACGHI – TLV, 10ppm OSHA – PEL
Dipropylene glycol methyl ether: Aliphatic glycol ether CAS# 34590-94-8 (5-13% by weight) 100 ppm ACGIH – TLV, 100 ppm OSHA - PEL
Effects of Single Overexposure:
Swallowing: May cause abdominal discomfort, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Contains material that may be moderately toxic if ingested.
Skin Absorption: Penetrates the skin readily. Toxic and may be harmful if absorbed through the
skin. May cause irritation, defatting or dermatitis.
Inhalation: Repeated and prolonged overexposure by inhalation may cause respiratory tract irritation. Symptoms may include nervous system disorders such as headaches, dizziness, weakness and fatigue.
Skin Contact Skin contact may cause irritation. Prolonged or repeated contact may cause discomfort and local redness. Penetrates the skin readily. Toxic and may be harmful if absorbed through the skin.
Eye Contact: Causes severe irritation, experienced as discomfort or pain, excess blinking and tear production, marked excess redness and swelling of the conjunctiva, and chemical burns of the cornea. Iritis may occur.
Medical Conditions Aggravated by Overexposure:
Pregnant women and persons with pre-0existing health disorders should consult their physician before using this product. Repeated and prolonged overexposure and/or individual sensitivity may increase the potential for and degree of adverse health effects.
Significant Laboratory Data with Possible Relevance to Human Health Hazard Evaluation:
2-Butoxyethanol has caused reproductive and blood disorders resulting in kidney, liver and lung damage in lab animals.
Dipropylene glycol methyl ether has been suggested to cause the following effects after overexposure and in lab animals,
and may aggravate pre-existing disorders of these organs in humans: mild, reversible liver and kidney effects. For animal
studies, reference TSCA Section 4 Test Rule Results or contact the manufacturer for further details.
Emergency and First Aid Procedures:
Swallowing: If victim is conscious, DO NOT induce vomiting. Never give liquids to an unconscious person. Get medical attention immediately.
Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Remove excess with absorbent material. Wash skin with soap and water for at least 15 minutes. Cool water is usually recommended to prevent the pores of the skin from opening. Obtain medical attention if irritation persists. Wash or discard clothing before reuse.
Inhalation: If any symptoms develop, remove to fresh air. If necessary, give artificial respiration. Get medical attention.
Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with water and continue washing for at least 15 minutes. Obtain medical attention without delay, preferably from an ophthalmologist.

VII. Spill, Leak and Disposal Procedures
Steps to be taken if material is released or spilled:
Wear eye and skin protection. Floor may be slippery; use care to avoid falling. Contain spills immediately with inert materials (e.g. sand, earth). Avoid discharge to natural waters. Transfer liquids and solid diking material to suitable containers for recovery or disposal. Use absorbent to clean remainder.
Waste Disposal Method: Small amounts can be hardened with absorbent material and disposed of as a solid. Dispose of all materials in accordance with the applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
