Irreversible photochromic materials make a one time permanent change when exposed to UV light. These materials are useful for applications where a "history" of UV exposure is desired. Examples of irreversible photochromic applications would be a document security devices, sunburn prevention devices, and UV curing indicators.
Irreversible PC's can go from translucent (no color) to color, color to color, or color to translucent (no color) when exposed to UV light. Irreversible PC's have a wide range exposure latitude. They can be modified to change color after one second of UV exposure at noon to one month of UV exposure.
Color Change Corporation currently does not offer any standard irreversible products. We may be able to assist you with custom products, and are planning to release standard products in the near future. Please watch our web site for updates.
